What is it?

Dental implants can often be the best treatment option for missing teeth. When a tooth is removed, both the visible part of the tooth, called the crown, and the root are lost. Dental implants are the closest treatment option to replace natural teeth.

A dental implant is placed in the jawbone so that it can fuse with your natural bone support and become a strong foundation for replacement teeth. Implants can be used to replace an individual tooth or for an implant-supported bridge or denture containing multiple teeth.

Once your dental implant has been placed by a specialist, we can restore it with an implant crown once it has healed and fully integrated. Your implant will have a connector on it called an abutment, which is used to connect the implant to the implant crown. We will work with you to create a custom crown made to match your natural teeth.
